Frequently Asked Questions
What equipment do we need?
Cleats are suggested and must be rubber/molded (no metal allowed). Each player should have their own glove. Bats/face shields and helmets are provided for practices and games from the association.
Are scholarships available?
The LPYAA offers need-based scholarships upon request. Contact lpyaasports@gmail.com to inquire about funding options.

Softball 2026
Registration is now open for Softball season!
Our program exists to introduce, instruct, and promote sustained participation in sport for our local youth. We are committed to helping players develop their technical skills while cultivating a genuine love of the game.
Whether your child is picking up a glove for the first time or looking to build on previous experience, our focus remains on quality instruction and the long-term benefits of staying active in team sports.
We look forward to seeing our athletes back on the diamond this spring!
Softball Season will Monday, April 27 (weather dependent).
Registration is open for beginning April 1.
The 2026 Fee structure has changed
$50 Minors (Grades 3-5). Practice M/W ~5:00-6:00
$60 Majors (Grades 6-8). Practice T/Th ~5:00-6:30
Opportunities for athletes younger than grade 3 are available under Baseball registration (T-Ball & Rookies).
