LPYAA Soccer is a youth soccer program for children Ages 1-4 yr. old and Kindergarten through 6th grade. It is intended to build basic soccer skills, competitive skills and have fun. Registration fee includes t-shirt for games. 
Our program is skills based, and consequently concentrate on the little things in soccer, such as individual moves, passing, shooting, and working with teammates. We plan practices so that scrimmage time is equal to skills practice time. Our goal is to instruct in such a manner that all players learn so they will be successful at their next level of play.
All practices are at the Horse Show Grounds by the ski jumps.
We will begin the end of August and continue through mid October as long as the weather works in our favor.

August 14th, 2023

Registration is open for Fall LPYAA Soccer for Kindergarten through 6th Grade beginning August 29th. There will be a Pre-K soccer program this year after I secure coaches.
Pre-K(1 yr. old-3 yr. old) practice will be Thursdays from 5:30-6 pm. 
Pre-K(4 year old) practice will be Tuesdays from 5:30-6 pm.
Practices for Kind.-6th Grades will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week beginning Aug. 29th at 5:30 pm at the Horse Show Grounds. 
5:30-6:00 Kindergarten practice
5:30-6:15 1st/2nd Grades
5:30-6:30 3rd/4th Grades
5:30-6:45 5th/6th Grades
We need parents to attend practices and step in if necessary to ensure their children are physically distancing.

You will register online at lpyaa.org . The pre-K fee is $15(t-shirt included) and  $30 fee for Kind.-6th Grades. There is a $10 additional fee only if you wish to purchase a t-shirt. Pay for t-shirt at the field. Cash preferred.

Please be diligent in singing up at lpyaa.net & paying the fee at the field. 

There is no water source at the field.  Plan accordingly.

COVID-19 Modifications & Safety Requirements(2021 rules)

Below are guidelines we will be following:

• Parents must NOT bring their child if they have a fever or ANY symptoms of COVID-19.

• No sharing of water bottles. 

• Minimize proximity. Concentrate mostly on skills. Soccer is considered a "moderate risk" sport.

• Players do not share a bench.

• Minimize spectators. Two spectators are allowed per athlete.

• Do not share equipment. We will be purchasing reversible pinnies for players to keep for the season. They will be handed out in September and must be returned at the end of the season.

• No throw-ins. Balls from the side will be indirect kicks.

• Coaches will wear masks.

• Bathrooms only allow one person to enter at a time.

• Spectators / parents maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more. Masks are required for situations where physical distancing is not possible.

• Parents maintain physical distancing of their own children if necessary while practice is in session.

Game Schedule
1st Grade to 6th Grade participate in games Saturdays in the Essex County League. Games usually run from the beginning of September to mid-October.(Kindergarteners may play with 1st & 2nd grade teams)
